45 year old man arrested after armed police attend Leek housing estate


Earlier this afternoon emergency services including armed police attended Argles road following reports of a man in distress.
Police put a cordon in place on Westminster road and Argles road.
West Midlands Ambulance and Staffordshire fire and rescue also attended the incident.

Police confirmed the incident had been resolved just after 5pm after initially arriving on the scene at around Mid day.
No injuries were reported during the incident and a 45 year old man has been arrested and remains in police custody

A spokesperson for Staffordshire Moorlands Neighbourhood policing team said

“An incident on Argles Road in Leek this afternoon has now been resolved. It’s after officers were called to a property earlier today following reports of a man in distress. No one was hurt and a 45-year-old man has been arrested. He remains in police custody.“
