A planning application has been submitted for permission to build nine houses in a Moorlands village.

The application, which has been submitted to Staffordshire Moorlands District Council, is for seven three-bedroomed houses and two two-bedroomed houses on land to the rear of Jim Hallam Landrovers in Rushton Spencer, near Leek.

The Design and Access Statement which accompanies the planning application states that: “The application site encompasses a broadly rectangular parcel of land that extends to some 0.32 hectares in area, and which comprises poor quality semi-improved grassland.”

The decision on the application is set to be made by the SMDC planning department.
