The Office for National Statistics says England’s had the highest level of excess deaths in Europe during the coronavirus pandemic.
Spain is second on the list while Scotland is third.
Since the start of the pandemic a total of 800 deaths of Staffordshire residents have been recorded, of them 74 were from the Moorlands.
Stoke-on Trent is recorded separately from the rest of the count and have recorded 168 Deaths
The university hospital’s of north midlands have recorded a total of 354 deaths.
The Midlands partnership NHS foundation trust has recorded a total of 12 deaths and the north Staffs combined healthcare trust have recorded 6
