Coronavirus: Brown Lees pub closes for 24 hours for deep clean following positive coronavirus test result


A Brown Lees pub has announced it will be closed for 24 hours for a deep clean following a positive coronavirus test result from one of their patrons.

The Nelson Inn in Brown Lees has said that a child who attended the pub on September 8th has tested positive for COVID-19 resulting in the pub closing for 24 hours as of this morning (15th September) for a deep clean.

The pub took to social media to share the update

“Due to a child being diagnosed with the Corona virus we will be closed as of today for 24hrs for a deep clean..the child was in on the 8th of SEP. And was outside and in the pool room area only..
Thank you all for your continuing support in these very difficult times..”
