Fire Service Team Up with Port Vale and Partners for Christmas Appeal

Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service are teaming up with Port Vale Football Club and partners for their Christmas appeal.

The League Two club will host a Christmas dinner on Christmas Day with trimmings, presents and a visit from Santa for over 100 isolated individuals and families in Staffordshire.

The club will also be delivering full Christmas dinners, festive treats and presents to more than 500 people across North Staffordshire on 23/24 December.

Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service are joining in with the appeal by helping with presents. Fire and Rescue are asking for donations of new and unwrapped presents for babies and younger children between the ages of three and eight.

Presents can be dropped off at any fire station which will then be collected and taken to our central collection point at Newcastle Fire Station before being taken to Port Vale Football Club.

Should any businesses want to get involved, Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service will accept donations which can be paid directly into their charity bank account and will use these donations to buy the presents.

Kelvin Chell, Fire Safety Officer at Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service, said: “This has been a very challenging year but it’s important to support those vulnerable families in our community and try to bring some festive cheer.

“We are proud to be working alongside Port Vale and partners on this year’s Christmas appeal. It’s a great opportunity for us to make isolated individuals/families feel included this Christmas and for us to reach out and show we care.”
