Communities are coming together this evening at 6pm as people will take to their doorstep to jingle bells.
The idea comes from a Harrogate resident, Mary beggs-Reid, who wants to help combat loneliness and end 2020 with a bit of magic.
Prime Minister Boris Johnson and his fiancée Carrie Symonds are backing the plans.
The idea is also to give someone a bell if they’re spending Christmas alone this year to combat loneliness which has been get more so due to coronavirus restrictions.
Almost 500,000 people are set to take part in the campaign either by jingling bells or by picking up the telephone and speaking to someone who may be feeling isolated.
Don’t be a grinch, Jingle your bells on your doorstep!
