An investigation is underway following a robbery at Leek United Building Society in Leek.
Just before 1pm this afternoon (Thursday 2 January), police were called to reports of a robbery at the St Edward Street branch.
A man entered the building society and aggressively demanded cash. A quantity of money was stolen.
He is described as white, 6ft tall with a slim build.
He was wearing a black baseball cap with a white motif, a black top with a small white motif on the left chest, a black waterproof coat with a hood, black trousers with a small motif on the left top pocket, black trainers, a black scarf covering his face and black skiing gloves.

Staffordshire Moorlands Chief inspector Mark Thorley took to twitter to share the appeal and said “An unusual crime for the area, if you saw anything suspicious please make contact. Local officers will remain in the area to provide reassurance and support the investigation.”
