New Website Gives Local and National Fire Advice and Information

Staffordshire people can now find out the latest fire advice and information for their area, with the launch of new national website from the Home Office.

The Fire England site is intended to be the first place members of the public, as well as those in the fire sector, go to find information about fire safety, campaigns, recruitment, inspection reports and news about important developments within the service.

By entering your postcode, the new site will also give information on your local service, including statistics on the number of incidents dealt with, the workforce demographic and how much funding each service receives.

Staffordshire Commissioner for Police, Fire & Rescue and Crime, Ben Adams said: ‘The new Fire England website is a quick and easy way for people to find out key information about fire safety, and see how their local fire and rescue service is performing compared to others.

‘It’s all part of ensuring our services are open, honest and transparent, something which is important to me as Commissioner and vital in giving our communities confidence in the quality of the service delivered.’

Chief Fire Officer for Staffordshire Fire and Rescue, Becci Bryant said: “This new website is a great tool for people in the local community to obtain useful fire advice and information.

‘It’s a great initiative which we hope will help us provide more streamlined information about our performance, giving members of the public added confidence in our ability to keep them safe.’
