On Tuesday 28th December Ozz Osbourne will be broadcasting a Northern Soul All Nighter on Moorlands Radio 97.3 & 103.7FM from 7pm to raise funds for the Leek & District Samaritans.

Every day, Samaritans volunteers respond to around 10,000 calls for help. They’re here for you, day or night, for anyone who’s struggling to cope, who needs someone to listen without judgement or pressure.

Samaritans is not only for the moment of crisis, they’re taking action to prevent the crisis. They give people ways to cope and the skills to be there for others. And they encourage, promote and celebrate those moments of connection between people that can save lives. They offer listening and support to people and communities in times of need.

In prisons, schools, hospitals and on the rail network, Samaritans are working with people who are going through a difficult time and training others to do the same.

Every life lost to suicide is a tragedy, and Samaritans’ vision is that fewer people die by suicide. That’s why they work tirelessly to reach more people and make suicide prevention a priority.

During 2020, more than 20,000 people volunteered their time for Samaritans.

Over 16,200 trained listening volunteers responded to calls for help.
Over 3,200 volunteers supported the running of our 201 branches.
Over 1,000 prisoners volunteered as trained Listeners.

Whatever you’re going through, a Samaritan will face it with you. They’re here 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
