More than 70 events have been held across Staffordshire recently as part of Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service’s Community Wellbeing Week.

Aimed at raising awareness of the importance of supporting people in vulnerable circumstances, this year’s theme has been ‘Brew with a crew’ with sessions being held at various fire stations.

As well as the ‘Brews’ staff took part in walking the Wellbeing Mile on Cannock Chase with local residents, white watch from Longton station got involved in a conga at a dance class in Fenton and Director of Prevent and Protect, Glynn Lunzyj spent time helping out at a food bank in Blurton. One of the first events of the week saw the Lord Mayor of Stoke-on-Trent receiving a Safe and Well visit from Community Safety Officer, Ben Sourbutts at her home to advise her on fire safety.
