Police are reminding Moorlands residents and visitors to keep safe when out Christmas Shopping at this time of year.

A spokesman for Staffordshire Police said: “Shopping with lots of bags can draw unnecessary attention. Always keep an eye on your belongings.”

Other advice includes: Ensure that your car is parked in a well-let area; Have your keys at the ready and be aware of those around you; Avoid isolated areas; Avoid distractions from you looking at your phone or listening to music; Take your own carrier bags as thieves can quickly work out who is buying high-value items; and Don’t leave your shopping in your car or in a plain sight.
