Detectives investigating the death of a woman in the Moorlands have confirmed they are not treating the death as suspicious.
Officers were called to Moorland Road in Biddulph at around 4.20pm on Sunday afternoon to a woman in critical condition.
A spokesman for Staffordshire Police said: “Despite the best efforts of ambulance staff she was pronounced deceased at 4.43pm.”
After an investigation by detectives and forensics staff, it was confirmed yesterday (Monday) afternoon that the death was not being treated as suspicious.
A post-mortem to establish the exact cause of death is expected to be held soon. Formal identification has not yet been completed.
