Officers from the Moorlands Neighbourhood Policing Team have served a closure notice on a house in Leek following concerns from local residents.
The closure notice was granted by Magistrates at the North Staffordshire Justice Centre in Newcastle-under-Lyme earlier today (31 October).
The property on Queen’s Drive has been subject to a number of incidents involving anti-social behaviour in recent months and has therefore been closed under Section 80 of the Anti-Social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act.
Chief Inspector Mark Thorley, Commander for Moorlands Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “Anti-social behaviour in Moorlands communities will not be tolerated and we will continue to use ASB legislation to close properties and remove nuisance tenants.
“If you are experiencing anti-social behaviour where you live, please call us on 101 and we will work together with our partners to take the appropriate action to deal with offenders.”
