Noth Staffordshire CCGs met today to discuss the future of healthcare in the area including the future of Leek Moorlands Hospital. and the Decision making board business case has been approved by the CCG with a proposed new build for Leek Moorlands hospital
Moorlands MP, Karen Bradley has welcomed the news that the Decision Making Business Case has been approved by the CCGs Governing Bodies.
At the meeting earlier today, the CCG Governing Bodies voted for the Decision Making Business Case with a proposed new build for Leek Moorlands Hospital.
“This is good news and a great result for Leek. The people of Leek and surrounding areas deserve 21st century healthcare and this multi million pound investment is essential.
“If any local residents have concerns about today’s decision, please email me and I would be happy to contact the CCG and the Health Secretary on their behalf.”
It has been decided that Leek Moorlands hospital will loose its tier 4 services and will not retain its community beds
There are four tiers of care. Tiers one to three are community or outpatient-based and commissioned by clinical commissioning groups and local authorities. Tier four services treat patients with more complex needs usually requiring inpatient treatment.
