Staff on UHNM’s renal ward (124) have achieved a score of 100% for patient satisfaction. They have also been commended by patients for their excellent communication skills, dedication and commitment and have worked hard to improve their patient survey response rate, going from a score of just 19% for returned surveys to 100%.
Julie Cumberlidge, Matron, said: “Our patients have told us that they feel 100% satisfied with the care they receive on ward 124. This is so encouraging for the team, who work very hard to provide the best care they can. We’ve also received so many lovely comments through our survey responses about the friendliness of our staff, how they make patients feel at ease and how well they communicate. When patients comment on the excellent level of care here it really makes it all worthwhile for us. We made it our team goal to improve the amount of patient feedback we collect and together we achieved a fantastic result. I am very proud of the team.”
Staff on the ward have been able to sustain their 100% satisfaction and response rates consistently. They have been given the Team of the Month award in recognition of their outstanding care.
