St Margaret’s Church Bellringers of Draycott will be joining in with the national bell ringing event ‘Ringing Remembers’ this Sunday – November 11.
At 7.05pm to mark the centenary of the ending of the First World war, Ringing Remembers will honour the 1,400 bell-ringers who died serving their nation during World War One.
The national target was to recruit at least 1,400 new bell-ringers for this commemoration and St Margaret’s has two new bell-ringers as their contribution.
Everyone in and around the Parish of Draycott in the Moors is invited to listen to the bells, and take along a candle to represent a beacon.
Refreshments will be served in Draycott Village Hall afterwards.
