Following an investigation by Staffordshire Police a man has been arrested and charged with serious sexual offences involving children.
Neal Hopkins, aged 45, from Stoke-on-Trent, was arrested yesterday (Wednesday 12 September) and was charged with 27 offences, including engaging in penetrative sexual activity with a boy 13 to 15, causing/inciting a boy aged 13 to 15 to engage in sexual activity, causing a child aged 13 to 15 to watch/look at an image of sexual activity, making indecent photograph/pseudo-photograph of a child, taking an indecent photograph/pseudo-photograph of a child and distributing an indecent photograph/pseudo-photograph of a child.
The charges relate to several incidents that took place in Stoke-on-Trent, as well as in the Derbyshire, Worcestershire and Yorkshire areas.
Hopkins appeared at the North Staffordshire Justice Centre this morning (13 September) and was remanded into custody.
