A woman, who hit 80mph on a 60mph road in Cheadle before crashing, has been jailed.
Faye Dawson, 50, from Cheadle, was sentenced to one-year-and-two-months in prison at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court recently, after pleading guilty to dangerous driving at a previous hearing.
She was also disqualified from driving for four years-and-seven months.
It happened on Friday 7 March last year when Dawson lost control of the Vauxhall Corsa she was driving on Delphouse Road.
There were five passengers in the car at the time, four of which were injured.
Dawson had been travelling at 80mph whilst driving on the wrong side of the road in the lead up to the incident.
PC Luke Randall, in charge of the investigation, said: “Dawson’s actions were reckless and selfish, and this custodial sentence reflects that.”
