Coronavirus: people urged not to contact GP’s over vaccine

Together we’re better Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent are asking people not to contact their GP’s surgery as the coronavirus vaccine is rolled out to them.
Priority groups in the area will be contacted when they can be vaccinated.
They hope to add more vaccination sites when more vaccines are available.

A spokesperson for together we’re better said

“This is the largest vaccination programme the NHS has ever run and will take several months to complete.

With this in mind we’re working hard to roll out the vaccines to priority groups, as more vaccine becomes available, and we hope further sites will be added in the coming weeks.

We ask people not to contact any part of the NHS directly to arrange a vaccination, our teams will contact those who need one when the time is right.”
