Staffordshire avoids tier 4


The Moorlands along with the rest of Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent will not be entering tier 4 restrictions on Boxing Day.

Many thought that when the Heath secretary addressed the nation today that Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire would be escalated to tier 4 on Boxing Day.

More areas in the south of England have had tier 4 restrictions placed on them.

Cheshire which was previously in tier 2 has now been escalated to tier 3.
Changes come into force at 00:01 on Boxing Day.
