Moorlands polling stations open for voting

Polling stations across the Moorlands opened at 7am this morning for the General Election.

They’ll remain open until 10pm.

For the first time in a General Election electors need to take photo ID with them when they go to vote.

Acceptable forms include a passport, photo driving licence, bus pass, or a Voter Authority Certificate.

Once polls close, counting will begin at the Brough Park Leisure Centre, with the result expected in the early hours of tomorrow morning.

Moorlands Radio will be on air throughout the night, with an election special programme bringing you all the local and national results as they come in.

Join Tony Mullins, Dave Stringer and the team tonight from 10pm.
