12–15 Year-Olds Can Walk-in to ‘Grab-a-Jab’ this Weekend

Children aged 12–15 can get their single COVID-19 vaccine dose at one of three walk-in vaccination centres in Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent this weekend.

They will need to be accompanied by someone who has parental responsibility for them to get a vaccine at:

  • Daniel Platt Business Park, Tunstall, ST6 4JU – Saturday 30 October, 9am – 4pm
  • Tamworth Vaccination Centre (Exley Pharmacy), B77 2LA – Saturday 30 October, 2pm – 5pm and Sunday 31 October, 11am – 3pm
  • SpringPharm, Unit 13 Mercian Business Park, Felspar Road, Tamworth, B77 4DP – Saturday 30 October 9am – 12pm

Dr Paddy Hannigan, GP and Clinical Lead for the COVID-19 vaccination programme in Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent, said: “Vaccines are safe, will protect children from COVID-19 and prevent further disruption to education.

“I urge everyone to get their jabs as soon as possible to keep yourself and your family protected this winter as we continue to face COVID-19.”

These walk-in clinics run alongside the schools’ programme, which has already vaccinated nearly half a million young people and visited thousands of schools nationally. Further walk-in and bookable clinics will be made available across Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent in the coming days and weeks. You can find out more on the Together We’re Better website.

If a child has already been invited through their school, they do not need to go to one of these clinics unless parents wish to get their child vaccinated outside of school.
