Families Enjoy Easter Fun at Congleton Town Hall

Families turned out in great numbers to enjoy a free fun-filled Easter Treats event organised by Congleton Town Council. Originally planned for the town centre, the event was moved indoors to Congleton Town Hall due to the forecast bad weather. The change did little to dampen spirits, with children and families enjoying a wide range of free activities throughout the morning.

The event featured a variety of interactive stalls and activities, including Easter arts and crafts with Artspace, a plank challenge and archery with Everybody Leisure, seed planting with In Bloom, a wildlife stall from Rotary, circus skills with Jayroll, and face painting by Wizard of Arts. Many children left the event with colourful Easter-themed face designs, adding to the festive atmosphere.

The Deputy Town Mayor, Cllr Suzy Firkin and Cadet Haru Pepper also joined in the fun, trying out several of the activities—giving the plank challenge their best shot!

The Deputy Mayor said: “It was wonderful to see so many families come together and enjoy the Easter activities. The Town Hall was full of energy and smiles, and it was a pleasure to see children getting involved, trying new things and having fun. A big thank you to all the organisations who helped make the event such a success.”

Congleton Town Council would like to thank all the families who attended, as well as the stallholders and sponsors (Congleton in Bloom, Morrisons, and Tesco) who contributed to making the event such an enjoyable occasion.

Adding to the excitement, the popular ‘Hop Around the Shops’ trail will run until 11 April. Families can explore local shops, spot posters, solve clues, and hunt for the missing golden eggs. With a free Easter treat at the end! Trail sheets are available to download from the town council website or pick up in person from Congleton Information Centre.
