Appeal following arson in town centre

Officers would like to speak to the man (pictured) in relation to an arson in Stoke-on-Trent.

Colleagues from Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service notified officers of an ongoing incident on Gitana Street, Hanley, on the morning of Sunday (3 April).

Two commercial bins were found well-alight and two others were found smouldering by fire crews, who worked at the scene to extinguish the blaze by 6.30am.

No-one was injured.

Upon inspection, the fires were deemed to be deliberately ignited.

Police would like to speak to the man (pictured) as part of the ongoing investigation.
