Appeal for Information Following Indecent Exposure Incidents in Newcastle

Officers are appealing for information after a number of reported indecent exposure incidents in Newcastle.

Police were first called at 4.14pm on 15 April to Silverdale Park on Crown Street following reports a man had exposed himself to two young girls playing in the park.

The offender was described as white, wearing a black coat and black hat.

Officers conducted searches of the area but no man matching the description was identified.

However, CCTV footage revealed the attached photo.

Police were called again at 12:30pm on 21 June to Silverdale Academy following reports of a man speaking to children at around lunchtime and exposing himself.

Officers attended but a search of the area proved negative.

Other schools in the area were informed and patrols were increased in the vicinity.

The offender was described as white wearing a black coat and sunglasses.

Officers would like to speak to anyone in the area at the time, who may have seen this offender, or anyone with CCTV or dashcam footage of the areas at the time of the incidents.
