Officers are appealing for witnesses after a cyclist was taken to hospital following a road traffic collision in Stoke-on-Trent.
The appeal comes after officers were called to reports of the collision, involving a Black Audi A6 and a push bike, on Campbell Road, at the junction of the Michelin Roundabout, shortly after 6:15 yesterday morning (Tuesday 1 June).
A 36-year-old man was taken to hospital by colleagues from the ambulance service with potentially life threatening injuries. Specially trained officers are supporting his family.
The 40-year-old driver of the Audi was uninjured.
Sergeant Paul Bradbury from the Staffordshire and West Midlands Serious Collision Investigation Unit said: “It is likely there were a number of people passing by at the time of the collision and ask for any of them to come forward with information.
“In particular, we are looking for dash cam footage that might be of use to our investigation.”
