After the astonishing news of manager Steven Schumacher parting company with Stoke City this morning, his post-match chat with Moorlands Radio back in May suddenly seemed quite poignant.
After a 4-0 win on the last day of the season against Bristol City, and 3 decent wins in a row, Schumacher seemed quite dour when questioned by Moorlands Radio’s Dave Lee, suggesting that “People were wanting to get me sacked”:
Everyone in the room was quite taken aback by this statement, with Dave saying in disbelief: “Who are these people?!”
