Bank Holiday Fun at the Farm’s Country Fayre

Join in Bank Holiday weekend celebrations at Tatton Park’s Farm for all the fun of a traditional English fayre.

“It sounds like a cliché but there really is something for everyone” says Jayne Chapman, Farm Manager at Tatton Park. “We know that on bank holiday weekends, different generations love to come together as a family and our Country Fayre is a perfect day out for all ages.”

There are plenty of events to throw yourself into. Introduce the kids to Egg and Spoon races or show your strength in the Farm’s Tug-of-War. Or if you want to see how good you are with a bow and arrow, Have-a-Go Archery is just a small fee. Don’t miss the good old-fashioned ferret racing and while you’re there, you can have a go at circus skills before the day is rounded off with a circus performance.

You can wander around the Farm and meet farmyard favourites including newly hatched chicks, see the steam engine running, watch a milking demo or browse the stalls of Darlington Jams and The Grateful Sheep Company. Live entertainment is provided by Morris dancers plus piping and drumming bands. A barbecue will be serving up lunch using Farm produce and country craft demonstrations will be provided by the North Cheshire Spinners.

The Country Fayre is included with your Farm entry tickets for 28th – 30th August. Book these dates in advance at www.tattonpark.org.uk to avoid disappointment. Parkland vehicle entry also applies. Please check the website to see the daily timetable as events may vary.
