Hilda Sheldon MBE has been fronting the award-winning voluntary community group Biddulph in Bloom for 30 years.
In that time the group have planted 2500 street and verge trees, thousands of spring bulbs, restored and created hedgerows, maintained an allotment and a small nature reserve. They also have two pick your own fruit, soft fruit and orchard projects situated within Biddulph Grange Country park.
They have also sited 50 memorial seats which are painted and varnished every year. The group also litter pick, weed and clean the streets in order to present the town of Biddulph at its finest.
