Billy Reeves becomes Leek Town’s 4th summer signing as he returns to the club

Leek Town have continued their preparations for the new 2024/25 season by re-signing midfielder Billy Reeves.

The former Port Vale youngster originally joined the Blues from Stafford Rangers in late September 2018, before going on to make 182 appearances for the club which included a spell captaining the side with regular skipper Marc Grocott out injured.

However, last summer Reeves chose to leave Leek as he joined league rivals Bootle. He played 11 games for the Bucks before following manager Dave McNabb to North West Counties side Bury FC.

At Gigg Lane, Reeves played 29 times for the Shakers as they made the playoff final for the North West Counties Premier Division. However, after drawing 1-1 with Wythenshawe Town in the final, they lost 3-2 on penalties.

He was offered a new deal with Bury last month but declined the offer, choosing a return to the F.Ball community stadium.
