Changes to the management team at Leek Town

Leek Town have today announced two changes to Neil Baker’s management team.

First team coach Simon Bell has left the club as his work commitments increase due to a promotion at work.

While goalkeeper coach Ollie Simpson has left the club due to being offered a role at Championship side Stoke City and, he’s decided to pursue this exciting opportunity meaning he won’t be available for Leek Town matches.

Baker said: “I’ve spoken to both at length and fully understand their circumstances, to their credit they both still offered to help out where and when they can, which says a lot about them.

“I am sure we will see them soon even if it’s on the terraces, they will be both made very welcome.”

Baker moved quickly to fill the void left by Bell’s departure by bringing in familiar face Jamie Cullerton to work alongside Baker and Pete Ward. Cullerton left the club last season to take up the role as manager of North West Counties side Stone Old Alleynians.

The role of goalkeeper coach is still vacant. Any interested parties should contact the management team.
