On Thursday 6th May at North Staffordshire Justice centre Staffordshire Police were successful in obtaining a closure order for a problem property in Meir.
From today, a property on Blatchford Close is to remain closed for three months, with anybody caught remaining on or entering the property liable to a fine or imprisonment. The occupier will need to find alternative accommodation.
Harm Reduction Hub PC Naomi Owen said: “Residents have been complaining to police as well as the local authority about anti-social behaviour taking place both outside and within the property, and drug-related activity.
“We are pleased with the court’s decision, and wish to remind residents we will pro-actively seek to do all we can to protect them from any criminal or anti-social activity taking place on their streets.”
