Congleton Town to welcome the holders of the FA Vase for the semi-final clash

Congleton Town have a home tie with Newport Pagnell Town in the semi-finals of the Isuzu FA Vase.

The Swans will make the journey up from Buckinghamshire to the Cleric Stadium on Saturday the 1st April with a trip to Wembley and a place in the final of the FA Vase on offer for the winners.

Congleton got through to this stage having seen off league rivals Bury AFC on penalties at the weekend having drawn 1-1 in normal time. Goalkeeper Dave Parton saved from Harry Brazel allowing Lewis Short to score the winning penalty. While, Newport also won on penalties as they beat Atherstone Town 4-3 having drawn 2-2 in normal time.

The visitors won the competition last season as they beat Littlehampton Town 3-0 at Wembley Stadium.
