People are being reminded that on August Bank Holiday GP surgeries will be closed but help will still be available.
If you need help but are unsure of what to do or where to go, then either use NHS 111 online, or you can call 111 to talk to a trained call handler.
There is a Bank Holiday Pharmacy rota so you can still see a pharmacist about any minor illnesses or injuries, and stock up on over-the-counter medicines.
The following are open for urgent treatment for a range of conditions:
- Haywood Hospital Walk-In Centre
- Leek Community Hospital Minor Injuries Unit
- Samuel Johnson Minor Injuries Unit, Lichfield
- Sir Robert Peel Minor Injuries Unit, Tamworth
Out-of-hours GP appointments are also available throughout the weekend and on Monday. Phone your normal GP surgery number to access these.
Please use Emergency Departments or call 999 for potentially life-threatening emergencies such as major trauma, chest pains, or uncontrolled bleeding. There are likely to be considerable waits for other conditions.
