Hotshot Lorent Tolaj joins Port Vale from Aldershot Town

Port Vale have brought in forward Lorent Tolaj from National League side Aldershot Town for an undisclosed fee.

The 22-year-old, left-footed striker joins Darren Moore’s Valliant’s on a three-year deal that will see him remain at Vale Park until at least the summer of 2027.

A product of the Brighton and Hove Albion Academy, Tolaj joined Aldershot on a permanent deal in the summer of 2023 and went on to enjoy a prolific campaign with The Shots, scoring 21 goals and creating 10 assists across all competitions.

Tolaj and his Aldershot teammates just missed out on the playoffs last season as they finished 8th just two points behind Gateshead in the league table.

Port Vale manager Darren Moore commented on Tolaj’s arrival: “Lorent is a player that we’ve kept tabs on for quite a while now and I am absolutely delighted that he has decided to commit his future to the club amidst strong interest from other clubs at this level and above.

“He is a player with an obvious eye for goal, capable of scoring goals in a range of different ways and a tenacious style of play that I’m sure our supporters will be appreciative of.

“We are all looking forward to welcoming Lorent into our squad and working closely with him as we head
towards next season.”
