Karen Bradley, the Member of Parliament for the Staffordshire Moorlands has been named in this year’s New Years Honours list.
She has been named as a Dames Commander of the Order of the British Empire.
Dame Karen Bradley MP has served the current government as a Secretary of State for Northern Ireland ans also as Secretary of State for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport.
She is to be honoured by the King in recognition of her service to the pulbic and politics.
She was first elected in 2010.
