Kidsgrove Athletic have postponed their Boxing Day and New Years Day fixtures

Kidsgrove Athletic have decided to postpone their festive fixtures against Newcastle Town (Boxing Day) and Carlton Town (2nd January).

The Grove made the decision earlier today following a statement issued by the Northern Premier League last night announcing that clubs have the option to postpone their fixtures on Boxing Day and New Years Day if they so wished.

In a statement issued by Kidsgrove, they said: “As a club, we’re disappointed that we have to postpone these fixtures because we know how much fans enjoy the Boxing Day and New Year games that take place every season.”

Kidsgrove currently sit 4th in the Pitching In Northern Premier League South/East Division. But, they haven’t played a league game since the 24th October when they beat Sheffield FC 2-1 due to lockdown two forcing the league to be suspended.
