Kidsgrove Athletic have confirmed the signing of Leek Town midfielder Jake Twyford.
Twyford joined the Blues from Championship side Stoke City ahead of the 2019/20 season where he helped Neil Baker’s team to the top of the Northern Premier League South/East table before the season was suspended due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
The midfielder is no stranger to Kidsgrove fans having spent the 2018/19 season on loan with the Grove where he helped the club enjoy their successful Emirates FA Cup run.
Following the signing, Kidsgrove Athletic manager Scott Dundas said: “We are delighted to finally have Jake available for games and he will be another great asset to our already very strong midfield.
“With the enforced break it as allowed our injured players to return, so the squad is looking pretty good at the moment and, we have some nice headaches for a change.
“It is so disappointing that the fans can not see us perform in the next round of the FA Trophy as they have played a massive part in getting us to this stage. But hopefully, they can all return very soon.”
