Leek and Biddulph Ambulance Stations Under Review

The future of Leek and Biddulph’s community ambulance stations are uncertain after the West Midlands Ambulance Service announced a review of 10 of their 11 hubs.

The Service says the review is necessary because only 5% of calls illicit responses from local bases across Staffordshire, Warwickshire, Worcestershire and Shropshire.

WMAS say the review is about making best use of resources.

The station escaping the review is based in Stourport which closes next month whilst the 10 under review are based in Leek, Biddulph, Market Drayton, Rugby, Evesham, Bridgnorth, Malvern, Oswestry, Craven Arms, and Stratford-upon-Avon.
