Ann Morris is a well-known and respective business leader in the Staffordshire Moorlands.

As well as having her own ladies fashion boutique she is also the owner of Getliffes Yard in Leek which is also the home of several bespoke businesses.

The Coronavirus pandemic has had a massive impact of many businesses across the world. It is widely recognised however that it has hit the retail and hospitality sectors the hardest.

The UK has seen three lockdowns where non-essential retail has been forced to close along with cafes, bars, restaurants and of course the personal services sector.

Getliffes Yard contains businesses in all the above-mentioned sectors.

In an exclusive interview with Moorlands Radio’s News & Sports Editor Tony Walley, Anne gives her insight on how the pandemic has impacted on the hardest hit sectors.

The interview takes us through the last year from the start of the original lockdown at the end of March 2020 right up to the present day.

Ann gives her opinion on the government’s handling of the pandemic, the range of support they have given and what is needed as the country begins to open up for business in the coming months.
