Man arrested following racial abuse in Biddulph

A man has been arrested following reports of racial abuse in Biddulph.

Officers were called at 10pm on Sunday to reports of an aggressive man shouting racist comments and making threats at the Royal Oak on Station Road.

A 44-year-old man, from Biddulph, was arrested on suspicion of racially aggravated public order and threats to kill.

He has since been released on conditional bail while enquiries continue.

Anyone with information that can help with the investigation is encouraged to get in touch.

Police are keen to speak to anyone who may have CCTV, dashcam or doorbell footage of the area at the time.
