Man Arrested Over Drink-Driving after Car Collides with Bus Shelter

A man has been arrested after a car collided with a bus shelter in Meir on Sunday 16th January.

Police were called around 1am on Sunday to Sandon Road following reports of a crash.

Officers attended and found a silver Vauxhall Corsa in collision with a bus shelter.

No one was injured.

A 26-year-old man, from the Derbyshire area, was arrested a short time later on suspicion of drink-driving and failing to stop.

He has since been released under investigation while inquiries continue.
