A man has been charged with assaulting an emergency worker in Hanley yesterday (June 8)
Christopher Edwards, 41, of Joseph Street, Burslem, is charged with assaulting a PCSO in Fountain Square yesterday morning.
He has been bailed to appear before magistrates in Newcastle on 24 June, with conditions not to enter Hanley town centre.
Sergeant Charlie Emmett, deputy commander for Stoke North Neighbourhood Policing Team, said the officer was unhurt:
