Meg Baldwin Joins Moorlands Radio Sports Team

Moorlands Radio Sport is pleased to announce that Meg Baldwin, Port Vale FC Women’s Captain, will be joining Moorlands Radio on the 01st June 2023 for the 2023/24 season. Meg will join the Sports Team bringing a wealth of experience not only through her Football background but as an experienced Physical Education Teacher with a wide experience of multiple sports.

Meg will bring a specialist knowledge of Woman’s football to the station, penning a weekly analysis of all of our local clubs women’s teams for the website as well as providing on air commentary during the regular Saturday sports show reporting on events such as Stoke City Women becoming a semi-professional outfit.

As well as local football, Meg will report on Women’s sport in general, starting with a review of Lionesses boss Sarina Wiegman’s squad for the Women’s World Cup in July and hosting a new podcast, dedicated to Women’s Sport, including news and interviews from local sports stars.

Meg will also join regular Port Vale Reporter Mike Stubbs for the 2023/24 season as the pair look to expand on the coverage the Sports Team provides from Vale Park. As well as the pre and post match reports, the team will now look to provide interviews with players and Vale Manager Andy Crosby as well as launching a new Port Vale related podcast which will report everything “Valiant” related including 1st Team, Women’s Team and updates from the Community side of the Club keeping Vale fans up to date on everything going on at the Club.

Meg Baldwin said,

“I’m excited to be taking on this role at such a pivotal time for women’s sport in Staffordshire and Cheshire. I look forward to working with my colleagues across the station and our partners to grow and champion women’s sport and bring this exciting content to an even wider audience.”
