Moorlands Police promote their “Ditch the Blade” Campaign

Over the next couple of weeks, Moorlands Police will be promoting their ‘Ditch the Blade’ campaign to raise awareness about the dangers and consequences of carrying a knife.

The Campaign aims to reduce the number of knives on the streets. Moorlands Police are working with together with partner organisations to educate young people about the dangers.

Knife amnesty bins are located at Leek Police Station, and anyone can use these completely anonymously without any repercussions. (They are asking anyone who brings knives to use the intercom at the front of the station to make officers aware).

Residents can also dispose of knives at their nearest Moorlands Household Waste Recycling Centre.
