Moorlands Police were called to a single-vehicle collision involving a blue Yamaha motorbike on Back Lane in Brown Edge, at about 11.15am on Monday.
Officers went to the scene alongside paramedics from West Midlands Ambulance Service.
The rider of the motorbike, a man, was taken to hospital where he remains.
His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the collision and officers have closed the investigation.
