Rob Stevenson wins Northern Premier League prestige fan award

Everyone at Moorlands Radio would like to pass on their congratulations to Leek Town’s Rob Stevenson who has been named the Northern Premier League Supporters Player of the Year.

It has been an amazing season for Stevenson as he has scored 26 goals in all competitions (21 in the league) including three hat-tricks vs. Stalybridge Celtic, Kidsgrove Athletic and Hanley Town which helped Leek to win the Northern Premier League West championship back in April.

He has already picked up numerous awards during the Leek Town end of season presentation evening that took place after the Clitheroe game. He was then named in the Northern Premier League West team of the season alongside- teammates Louis Keenan, Oliver Harrison, Dan Trickett-Smith and Liam Buckley.

Also, with each division’s Player of the Year award still to be announced (that will come on Saturday after the Northern Premier League’s AGM) we could see another award heading Mr. Stevenson’s way.

For this award, Stevenson finished ahead of Hebburn Town’s (East division) Amar Purewal and Jordan Hulme of Northern Premier League Premier Division champions Radcliffe FC.
