By-elections took place on Thursday 19th January 2023 for the Biddulph West ward.
In the Biddulph West Ward for Staffordshire Moorlands District Council, two councillors were elected. David Proudlove of the Labour Party was elected with 288 votes and Charlotte Smith also of Labour was elected with 364 votes.
They defeated Neil Eadley, Independent with 226 votes, Alistair McLoughlin, Independent with 154 votes, Rathi Pragasam, Local Conservatives with 185 votes, and Ian Waite for the Green Party who received 61 votes.
The turnout was 17.9%
