Staffordshire Police Appeal Following Serious Collision in Kingsley

Officers from the Staffordshire and West Midlands Serious Collision Investigation Unit are appealing for witnesses after a serious collision near Kingsley Works, on the A52.

At 11:32am, police were called to reports of a three vehicle collision involving a blue Fiat 500, a black VW Polo and a Volvo HGV.

A woman, in her 70s, was treated by paramedics at the scene. She was later taken by ambulance to Royal Stoke University Hospital.

Her injuries are believed to be serious.

A male in his 60s and a male in his 70s were also injured at the scene. They attended hospital, although their injuries are not believed to be life changing.

An air ambulance also attended the incident alongside Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service.

Witnesses who may have seen the vehicles before the collision or anyone with relevant dashcam footage should message Staffordshire Police on Facebook or Twitter quoting incident number 249 of 29 October, or call 101. Alternatively, email the team direct at ciu@staffordshire.pnn.police.uk.

We would remind people not to speculate as to the cause of the collision or comment inappropriately as this is a live on-going police investigation.
