Staffordshire Shopping Centre Closes on Boxing Day for the First time in Over 20 years

Affinity Staffordshire announces that they will be closing their doors for Boxing Day.
To make up for lost time, Affinity Staffordshire have confirmed that they will be closing their doors on the 26th of December to give staff a two-day break this Christmas.
Centre Manager, Sue Sweatmore, said:
“If the pandemic has taught us anything, it’s to appreciate what little time we spend with our loved ones.
“All of our staff work incredibly hard all year round and their efforts during the pandemic doesn’t go unnoticed. That’s why this year, we’re allowing our stores to give staff, and customers, a chance to enjoy the festive season the way it should be celebrated… with our loved ones.
It’s the least we can do to say thank you.”
Throughout the pandemic, the shopping centre has remained open to provide essential services to local visitors and reopened non-essential retail three times over the past year and a half.
This will be the first time the shopping outlet has closed on Boxing Day since the Centre opened since 1999.
Shops at Affinity will reopen on the 27th of December 2021.
All Christmas opening times can be found on their website, affinitystaffordshire.com
Affinity Staffordshire will also be altering their opening times in the New Year, with Sundays changing from 11am – 5pm to 10am – 4pm. The changes come in place following change in consumer behaviour
